They say, History repeats, If we don't learn from it. I loved a lover of the moon Beneath the Sun. I loved something pure Impurely. I loved not a person, but my past's mirage. For a second, I thought I saw something like me, But it vanished just as quickly. And my mirage faded, And purity was corrupted, And the moon set. And the Sun hurts my tired eyes. God, give me rest.

I slide the plug in, the song skips briefly. I sling the head phones over my hair, wait. The sound fills my head, I slip away. -thump- -thump- -thump- It overtakes me, sets me in motion. The low beats, high trebles the crests and dips of the sea. Mustn't bump the plug, lest a single note worm out. They wouldn't understand me, the others. They told me what to hear and think. Grunge, Rock, Raised on guitars and drums, I found techno... And felt free. The whistles and chimes wind down, And I look for more, scrolling, click, It starts again.
